You & Me

You & Me as partners

Option 1: Let’s work together, one-to-one.

Really good and yummy stuff happens when we work together. When we start, you’ll probably have some specific goals in mind — like understanding why you struggle with the same 10, 20, 30 (fill in the blank) pounds year after year, or getting to the bottom of why you use food to cope with difficult emotions and what to do about it, or giving up your never-ending dissatisfaction with your body and self image.

We’ll start exactly where you are and slowly but surely tease apart the tangle of the stuff that keeps you stuck in patterns that no longer serve you — we’ll work with your limiting beliefs, your unfelt feelings, and your self-defeating behaviors — using a combination of proven mind-body techniques and coaching tools that will empower you to make the positive changes you desire and deserve. You will learn how to eat intuitively and move toward pleasure — in your own time. Ultimately our work together is about discarding things that no longer work for you, embracing things that do work, and creating a luscious, right-for-you sized life.

This intimate process builds trust and belief in your self. And self-trust leads to all kinds of luscious things — internal and external. Along the way you will cultivate your best self as you discover things that delight you — new things as well as things you’ve forgotten about or tucked away. You’ll get a clear vision for your life that is free from everything that has weighed you down.

Daily email support between phone sessions, coupled with weekly home practice assignments designed specifically for you, will support your journey and make the experience of self discovery richer, more rewarding, and far more delicious. We meet via phone or Skype, or if you live in the Atlanta area we can meet in person. I’d like that!

Option 2: Let’s work together, with the buddy system.

If you and a friend struggle with the same why weight issues and want to support each other on this freedom journey (not to mention save some cool cash), this is a great coaching option. Sharing with someone who cares about you and truly grasps the challenges you are facing and the significance of the changes you are making, increases the intimacy and joy of the journey.

And the good news is that even if you and your friend don’t live in the same town, you can still take advantage of this buddy option since we work via phone or Skype.

Bee in the know

Single coaching sessions are available after we’ve worked together for either the 3-month or 6-month sessions, as one-to-one partners or on the buddy system. Discounted session packages are available — contact me for single session rates.

As your coach, I am deeply committed to your process and will give you my best, always. That said, personal growth outcomes are ultimately up to you — and that’s a good thing. However, if you are less than satisfied with your coaching experience, I will happily refund a pro rata share of your one-to-one coaching package within 30 days of purchase.

Q&A

Q. What is ‘intuitive eating’?
A. ‘Intuitive eating’ is a model of normal eating (recognizing, trusting and honoring the body’s innate hunger and fullness signals while increasing mindfulness and satisfaction with food and eating) that guides you in reaching and maintaining your natural weight — through normal eating and normal exercise. It’s not a diet, it’s not a fad, it’s not quick fix, and it’s not magic!  It’s an evidence-based, sensible and sane way to  transform your relationship with food and eating forever. Q. My goal is weight loss. Can you help me lose weight?
A. While I can’t guarantee that you’ll lose weight while working with me, I can guarantee that you’ll unravel long-held limiting beliefs (lbs.) and patterns of behavior that keep you stuck in the diet-binge cycle (the eating pattern of restricting and permitting food that is ultimately making you over-weight and under-nourished). I’ll teach you ‘intuitive eating’ skills which will support you in reaching and maintaining your natural weight in the long run and your emotional eating habits will give way to increased emotional intelligence. Self-care will become a priority as you journey home.

Q. How will I know I’m making progress?
A. Oh my gosh, there are so many ways! Here are a few progress reports my clients have shared with me: “I walked by a mirror yesterday, caught my reflection and smiled (I used to sneer).” “I asked for what I needed – doesn’t sound like a big deal – but to me, it’s HUGE!” “Last night I went to bed early because I was tired. I used to eat ice cream and zone out in front of the TV when I was tired. Imagine that – sleep works better than ice cream when I’m tired!”  Positive change will come in many scrumptious forms, so be on the lookout!
